Early Stage East's Bio-Life-Tech Conference offers companies in the biotechnology, life science, pharmaceutical and nanotechnology industries and related fields a forum for high-growth entrepreneurial investment opportunities for companies in search of their initial rounds of institutional venture capital. Companies that are seeking their first and second rounds of institutional venture capital are encouraged to apply.

All accepted companies have an opportunity to showcase their business opportunity through an exhibit booth that is open to an audience of private investors, venture capitalists and investment firms that specialize in these fields. In addition, companies selected have an opportunity to describe and offer their business venture in an eight-minute live presentation to an audience of private investors, venture capitalists and investment firms. The presentations should describe the company's business investment opportunity, growth and exit strategy.

The Bio-Life-Tech Selection Committee competitively chooses up to 30 companies to present.

The companies selected to present must attend a mandatory coaching session. The session will be held on Tuesday, September 14th in Baltimore, Maryland. The mandatory coaching session will allow companies to present a preliminary run of their PowerPoint presentation to the coaches. Presentation tips and hints from venture experts will be offered. A networking reception will follow the session.

Participating Company Benefits and Criteria

Early Stage East's Bio-Life-Tech Conference is THE showcase for the "Best of the Best" early stage biotech companies seeking their initial rounds of venture capital.

• Selected companies will present their business venture to an audience of venture capitalists, investors and investment firms in an eight-minute presentation.
• Each company is entitled to attend the Education Workshop on October 12th at no charge.
• Selected companies are provided with two key networking opportunities. The first, exclusively for the selected companies, follows the Coaching Session, and provides the opportunity to network with the Coaches. The second is the Opening VIP Reception, with over 300 attendees.
• Each company will be assisted in their presentation development through attending a mandatory practice session led by an experienced and renowned team of consultants and venture capitalists.
• Each company will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with investors and to showcase their venture at an 8' exhibit booth.
• Summary of critical venture, business plan and other pertinent information taken from the application form will be published in the conference program.
• Company presentations will be evaluated in a variety of areas by a select panel of judges consisting of some of the leading venture capitalists on the East Coast.

Companies that are seeking their first or second rounds of institutional venture capital are encouraged to apply.

Participating Companies

Participating companies have an opportunity to present their business venture in an eight-minute live presentation to an audience of private investors, venture capitalists and investment firms. The presentations should describe the company's business investment opportunity, growth and exit strategy.

In addition, companies have an opportunity to showcase their business opportunity through an exhibit booth that will be open to an audience of private investors, venture capitalists and investment firms for the entire conference day.

Companies are required to submit an official application form. Accepted presenting companies must submit an eight-minute PowerPoint presentation.

The Bio-Life-Tech Selection Committee competitively selects up to 30 companies to participate. These selected companies must attend a mandatory coaching session. Required Fees

Selected Companies: $595

Fee includes two event tickets for Entreprenurial Education: Building a Great Business, the Opening Night VIP Reception and the Conference along with conference materials. Company is assigned one 8' by 8' exhibit booth location and provided a two-page company write-up, based upon your application information, to be included in the Conference Guide.

Application fees via credit cards are only processed for accepted companies. Application fees paid via check will be returned to applicants not selected to present prior to the date of the event.

If Your Company Is Not Accepted

Even if your company is not selected to participate, you will be eligible to send two company representatives to attend the Entreprenurial Education: Building a Great Business, the Opening Night VIP Reception and the Conference for a discounted price of $595 for two attendees!
