COMPANY DESCRIPTION

Bid Master has dominated the electronic catalog specifying, configuring, and ordering of windows and doors in the building industry. Its products have been the baseline for leading home products retailers and many of the largest window and door manufacturers. The new tools will empower participants (dealers and distributors) throughout the fulfillment channel, enabling enhanced specification, option, pricing, and related comparisons, as well as enabling electronic commerce on manufacturer specific sites.

PRODUCT LINE OR SERVICE

Custom tailored, ERP compatible electronic catalogs for the building industry.

technology/proprietary rights

Proprietary software for enhanced configuration of complex, multiple permutation specified products, as well as successfully back-end ERP integration with the leading national home retail chain.

MARKET OPPORTUNITIES

Currently, manufacturers of 65% of the volume of the $12 Billion windows and doors sold in the U.S. use Bid Master electronic catalogs. Expanions with an internet based version, and offering more comprehensive searching and comparative features, enables Bid Master to capture a greater share of the value created and costs saved in a two step distribution industry.

MARKETING/SALES & DISTRIBUTION

Marketed to specifying, procuring, and related decision makers, such as the professional building and remodeling trade, through advertising, trade show participation, and regular newsletters. Sales to leading window, door, and millwork manufacturers; and leading national, regional and independent dealers and distributors, driven by the needs and desires of the end users.

MANUFACTURING

All software development, CD production capabilities, and support and services are housed in a new 10,000 SF facility, with expansion ongoing for an additional 6000 SF. The internet tools being rolled out would require expansion of existing technology infrastructure.

COMPETITION

Various vertical portals focused on larger construction and building sectors, including ChanneLinx, Buildnet, Buildscape, and others, represent potential partners as well as "competitors." All have inquired about acquiring the configuration tools produced by Bid Master.
