EARLY STAGE EAST ANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP WITH BUSINESS WIRE

Wilmington, Delaware - Early Stage East and Business Wire have partnered to provide even more benefits for our pr esenting companies and sponsors. As the official news distribution sponsor of the 2005 Early Stage East Venture Capital Conference, Business Wire will offer custom news release distribution to presenting companies of the conference.

Presenting companies can distribute conference related news and advisories to media, analysts and the investment community worldwide. Also, Business Wire will provide all presenting companies and sponsors distribution of a free 150-word profile to promote their involvement with the conference. The conference will be held at the Hyatt Regency Philadelphia at Penn's Landing. On Wednesday, May 11, 2005 an entrepreneurial education session will be held where venture capitalists and experts in entrepreneurial development will present "Building a Great Business." Attendees will kick off the conference that evening at a lavish networking reception.  On Thursday, May 12, up to 25 companies will present their break-away businesses to an audience of investors.

Traditionally, the conference features start-up companies focused on information technology, enterprise software and internet technology. This year, companies specializing in chemicals and advanced materials, manufacturing technology, nanotechnology, medical instruments and devices, industrial biotechnology and electronic materials will also be presenting at the conference.

The conference, which is typically held in Delaware , has been moved to Philadelphia for 2005 in recognition of the expanded list of featured industries. These industries are dominant in the central region of Early Stage East's geographic footprint, which extends from the Carolinas to New England.
