ESE 2007 a Huge Success

Kelly Perdew, this years’ Keynote Speaker, gave a stellar speech to a sell out crowd.  Perdew was the winner of the second season of NBC’s “The Apprentice” .  In addition, he is a successful entrepreneur, author, television host, celebrity spokesperson and business leader.  He spoke in detail about building a profitable entrepreneurial business.  The conference attendees were able to ask Kelly questions about his time on the Apprentice & about Donald Trump.

Company awards were presented to Zylaya as the Company Most Likely to Receive Funding, Grand Brands as the Best Exhibiting Company and the People’s Choice was presented to Sensics, Inc. 

This year a new award was added --- the Chairman’s Award.  The award was given to David Freschman, Managing Principal, Innovation Ventures and Founder of Early Stage East.  David has been the driving force behind Early Stage East since its inception.

Company to Watch: Zylaya

 

Zylaya has created a highly reliable wireless communications system, ZENS, for campus environments for use in times of crisis. The system is used to send emergency notifications, receive personal panic alarms, and to locate key personnel and assets, even when power is out or when public networks are overwhelmed or unavailable.  ZENS can be used to deliver messages to cell phones, PDA’s, and emails.  It has the capability to send messages to individuals, select groups, or an entire community.  In addition, ZENS can receive panic alarms, notifying a dispatcher when assistance is needed.  Another key feature is that ZENS serves as the platform for location based services for the user and security communities.
