Early Stage East 2001 Applicant Information
Early Stage East offers a forum for high
growth entrepreneurial investment opportunities for companies in search of their
initial round of institutional venture capital.
Presenting Companies

Presenting companies have an opportunity to
describe and offer their business opportunity in an eight-minute live presentation to an
audience of private investors, venture capitalists and investment firms. The presentations
should describe the company's business investment opportunity, growth and exit strategy.

Companies are required to submit
an official application form along with an eight-minute PowerPoint presentation.

The
ESE Selection Committee competitively chooses up to 24 companies to present.
These presenting companies must attend a mandatory coaching session.
The session will be held on
May 21st in Wilmington, Delaware.

The mandatory coaching
session will allow companies to present a preliminary run of their
PowerPoint presentation to the coaches. Presentation
tips and hints from venture experts will be offered. A
networking barbeque will follow the session.
- Selected presenting companies are also
provided with exhibit booth space that will be open for the entire conference day.
Exhibiting Companies

Exhibiting companies have an opportunity to
showcase their business opportunity through an exhibit booth that will be open to an
audience of private investors, venture capitalists and investment firms for the entire
conference day.

Companies are required to
submit an official application form.
- The
ESE Selection Committee competitively chooses up to 12 companies to
exhibit. Exhibiting companies may attend the coaching session
for presenters.
Required Fees
Presenting and exhibiting fees are due with
applications. Application fees will be returned to companies not selected to present or
exhibit prior to the date of the event.
