Fieldstone Golf Club

Fieldstone Golf ClubNestled on 184 acres in the rolling hills of Northern Delaware, Fieldstone is a scenic par 71, 6,700+ yard course featuring dramatic elevation changes, bent grass fairways, numerous sets of tees per hole, and old-world bunkering.

The pristine nature of the property was preserved to provide members and their guests with an unparalleled golf experience. Hand-laid rock walls that wind through the property were preserved and incorporated into the design plan.

Simply put, Fieldstone is pure golf for the golf enthusiast.

About the Design

Golf Photo 3An internationally recognized authority on golf course environmental issues, designer Dr. Hurdzan earned a Masters Degree in landscape architecture and a Ph.D. in environmental plant physiology. Golf Week Magazine also recently named Dr. Hurdzan "Architect of the Year."

Dr. Hurdzan states, "Besides its sporting requirements, I believe that a great golf course must either enhance the natural habitat or create a new environmentally sound one." With the rolling contours and preserved wetlands of the Delaware landscape, Fieldstone is a classic example of this type of design.

Dana Fry, who began his career working under the watchful eye of Tom Fazio, joined Dr. Hurdzan in 1988, and was instrumental in the design and construction of award winners such as Devil's Paintbrush and Devil's Pulpit.

The Hurdzan/Fry team's synergy and their enthusiasm for Fieldstone ensure a top-notch course design.
